"Our school has purchased Maxine MacGillivray’s books, from Drought to Never Ending Rain. This is an easy-to-read book with absolutely stunning illustrations. Our teachers have enjoyed reading this book to students and engaging them in the suggested curriculum-aligned questioning at the back of the book. This text aligns very well with a variety of learning areas across the curriculum which makes it a versatile resource for the classroom. Maxine very kindly spent some time talking to our students via Zoom about her book and what it is like to be an author. This has inspired several of our students to engage in writing and illustrating their own books. "
